Action Against Child Sexual Abuse Initiative (ACSAI) are a team of passionate individuals whose dream is to work with standard approaches of keeping children safe from child sexual abuse. Established in 2016, we are gradually building a record of curbing Child Sexual Abuse in Nigeria, West Africa.
Our vision is to build a society where no Child is Sexually Harassed or Abused and stop the scourge and discrimination against victims of child sexual abuse.
Our mission is to transform society’s response to change society’s perception and approach to child abuse, to educate on prevention and support survivors and victims’ through a healing process, and end this menace forever.
Action Against Child Sexual Abuse Initiative seeks to change the way society thinks about, talks about and responds to child sexual abuse. Simply put, we seek to turn up the volume on these issues. We do this through public education, large-scale campaigns, by use of large social media campaigns.
In Action Against Child Sexual Abuse Initiative, we believe by having sexual abuse of children recognized as a preventable public health problem, sensitize adults and children on their roles to prevent and stop sexual abuse of children a main focus of prevention We are always exploring easily replicable ideas that will have the maximum impact on our target beneficiaries and thus, adaptable to our society.
ACSAI will continually aid and support the movement for the domestication of the Child's Right Act in all states of the federation and further promote the knowledge of Children's right in our society.
We are currently supported technically by Dr. Sherryl Kraizer of the Safe Child Program in USA (www.safechild.org). The Safe Child Program have provided training and guides that have been used across the world to effectively teach children and adults on prevention of Child Sexual Abuse.
