01
National Digital Safety Campaigns
ACSAI's #TellPerson and #IGoReportAm campaign expanded awareness and action against Online Child Sexual
Exploitation and Abuse through culturally relatable messaging, short videos, infographics, and digital
outreach.
The campaign reached more than 2 million people, increased public recognition of online child sexual abuse
as a prosecutable crime, and helped drive a 60% increase in CSAM reports to ACSAI's digital reporting
platforms.
02
Nigeria's First Accredited Internet Hotline
In January 2024, ACSAI launched Nigeria's first and only INHOPE-accredited internet hotline for reporting
CSAM, intimate image abuse, revenge porn, and sextortion.
The hotline enables confidential reporting, faster assessment of harmful content, and collaboration with
platforms and law enforcement to support rapid removal and response.
03
Strengthening Child Online Protection Structures
ACSAI contributed to drafting and validation processes for Nigeria's Standard Operating Procedures for
Child Online Protection with the Nigerian Communications Commission and other stakeholders.
ACSAI also delivered capacity training for the Nigerian Police CID Gender Desk, reinforcing understanding
of OCSEA and incident handling.
04
Community-Led Digital Safety Education
ACSAI's Safe Hub Club and youth-centred initiatives such as The Digital Diaries help co-create culturally
relevant, age-appropriate digital safety resources.
These platforms equip children and caregivers with practical information on risks, healthy online
behaviour, and early warning signs of exploitation.
05
Consistent Advocacy Across Global Campaigns
ACSAI uses social media and thought leadership to mark key thematic events, including the Day of the
African Child and the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict.
Through targeted communications, ACSAI connects local challenges with broader global movements and keeps
child protection and survivor justice in public conversation.
06
INHOPE Hotline of the Month
In 2025, ACSAI's Nigeria hotline, iGoReportAm, was recognised by INHOPE as Hotline of the Month for
excellence in operational performance, reporting quality, survivor-centred response, and cross-border
collaboration.
The recognition reinforced ACSAI's role as a trusted African leader in child online protection and a
growing contributor to global digital safety efforts.
